Engr. Abubakar Yusuf
Technical Lead
Engr. Yusuf is an agricultural engineer specializing in farm power and machinery and a member of the Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers (NIAE). With extensive experience in designing and developing agricultural equipment, he has contributed to projects such as egg candling equipment for poultry farmers, a manual groundnut oil extraction machine, and a fish smoking kiln for rural communities. In AgroMech, he serves as Technical Lead, overseeing the design and technological implementation of the motorized multi-grain planter.
Dr. Babangida Lawal
Project Manager
Dr. Lawal is an accomplished academic and researcher specializing in Intelligent Systems, Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence (AI). His work focuses on applying emerging technologies to real-world challenges in agriculture, smart environments, and healthcare. As Project Manager, he guides innovation, coordinates project development, and ensures the technical feasibility of AgroMech. Dr. Lawal also brings insights from his participation in the TETFAIR 3 program.
Engr. Abdulbasit O. Isa
Business Manage
Engr. Isa is an agricultural engineer with expertise in sustainable farming systems, agricultural machinery management, and resource-efficient practices. Combining technical knowledge with strategic planning, he oversees financial management, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement for AgroMech. His role ensures that innovative solutions are economically viable and scalable for small and medium-scale farmers.
Team Story
The AgroMech team comprises academic staff from the Federal College of Education, Katsina, united by firsthand experiences of the challenges facing smallholder farmers, particularly in rural communities.
